Alex Riley is a Syracuse, NY native, entering his first season as a volunteer assistant at Purchase.
From 2009-2013 he was a four year scholarship baseball player at the University of Bridgeport where he was a member of a pitching staff on teams that reached conference championships in three straight seasons. He earned a bachelor's degree in Human Services in 2013.
Following his baseball career at Bridgeport, Alex has been pursuing his M.S. in elementary education. From 2013-2015 Alex remained a part of the University of Bridgeport baseball program by serving as a graduate assistant where he worked primarily with pitchers.
Alex also has had experience coaching in the West Haven Twilight League from 2011-2014 where his clubs won numerous titles. Alex currently coaches with the Connecticut Blue Jays, one of the premier AAU/travel programs in the northeast, and has been affiliated with the club since 2014. Alex has had experience coaching various age groups in the organization, and has helped several players transition from high school to college baseball.
Alex resides in Bridgeport, CT.
