JR Causa enters his fifth season of coaching for the Panthers in 2024. He was a two-way player in college as a pitcher and outfielder with stops at the University of New Haven, St. John's University and The University of Bridgeport.
Upon the completion of his college career, he began coaching with the Connecticut Blue Jays in 2002 - an AAU program ranging in ages from 12-18. During his coaching career, he has been part of multiple championships at the 13U, 16U and 18U levels. As a roving instructor, Causa has 20 years of experience at many different age levels.
When not working on the baseball field, Causa works as a detective with the New York Police Department and resides in Putnam county with his wife and three children.
