Ian Morris enters his first year as an assistant men's basketball coach at Purchase College for the 2021-2022 season.
Morris came to Purchase College after spending a year in Ireland getting his master's in marketing and management strategy, playing professional basketball for the Limerick Sport Eagles, coaching the women's college basketball team at Limerick Institute of Technology, and mentoring youth in Limerick, Ireland. Before Morris lived in Ireland, he served as a Boys Basketball coach at Virginia Episcopal school from 2018-2019, a college prep boarding school located in Lynchburg, Virginia. Morris helped lead the 2018-2019 team to the conference finals.
In addition, Morris was able to expand his coaching experience through various camps including Dickinson's Red Devil Camps, Greg Koubek Camp, and Vassar College basketball camp.
A 2018 graduate from Dickinson College with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English, Morris played four years under head coach Alan Seretti. While at Dickinson, the Red Devils won a Centennial Conference championship and made it to the round of sixteen.
