Foley, a personal fitness trainer in Armonk during the day time, took over for Christian Fuller as the head coach at Purchase during the summer of 2012. In his first season at Purchase, he was named Skyline Conference Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year. He later swapped roles with assistant coach Liam McGuirk; becoming the top Panther assistant coach in 2015.
Foley has worked in various coaching ranks, spending time as the Cross Country Chairperson at the Fairchester Athletic Association (2010-11) and in Byram Hills with the PTSA Halloween Fun Run (2008-10). He was the head varsity cross country and track coach at Holy Child in addition to boasting a successful running career that includes a first-place finish in the 2009 Tuckahoe Challenge and more recently a second place running in the 2010 Westchester Quarter Marathon.
A graduate of Hofstra University, Foley earned a 2005 Hofstra University Outstanding Senior Athlete Award.
