Purchase College Athletics

Serving as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Purchase College, Eric De La Espriella contributes to training sessions, recruiting, scouting & match preparation. 

In addition to his on-field responsibilities, he plays an active role in mentoring student-athletes and supporting their development as they balance the academic and athletic demands of the collegiate level. 

De La Espriella joined Purchase College in 2025 along with Coach Bruno. He holds both a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Accounting & Master’s in Business Administration, where he was also a member of the men’s soccer program as a player. During his time at Berkeley, De La Espriella was part of the program’s first national tournament appearance in 2016. Upon graduating in 2017 he joined the staff as Assistant Coach. 

His experience as a collegiate student-athlete provides him with a strong understanding of the expectations and responsibilities associated with competing at the college level. His experience working for corporations helped him to recognize the important role coaches play in the overall development of student-athletes on and off the pitch.
