Serving as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Purchase College, Michael Paredes contributes to training sessions, recruiting, scouting, match preparation, and goalkeeper development.
In addition to his on-field responsibilities, he plays an active role in mentoring student-athletes and supporting their development as they balance the academic and athletic demands of the collegiate level.
Paredes joined Purchase College in 2025 after graduating from Berkeley College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, where he was also a member of the men’s soccer program as both a player and assistant coach. During his time at Berkeley, Paredes was part of the program’s 2022 and 2023 conference championship teams and contributed to three national championship appearances, including two appearances in the national final.
His experience as a collegiate student-athlete provides him with a strong understanding of the expectations and responsibilities associated with competing at the college level, as well as the important role coaches play in the overall development of student-athletes.
Paredes also brings several years of experience from the competitive club level, where he has successfully worked with teams competing in state, regional, and national championships.
