Purchase College Athletics

Mark Sergio is set to enter his fourth season as the head coach of the Purchase College softball team this spring.

During his first two years, Sergio collected a 17-39 overall record, going 10-22 in Skyline Conference play. In his third season as head coach of the Panthers, the entire campaign was canceled before it began due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Throughout Sergio's tenure as leader of the team, he has had one player (Kelly Hayes '19 in 2019) named to the All-Skyline Conference First Team and three members named to the All-Skyline Conference Second Team (Daniella Edelson '19 in 2018, Victoria Capone-Froio '19 in 2018 and Kelly Agostini in 2019.)

Before being named head coach, Sergio served as the assistant coach for the softball team for two seasons (2016-17). During the two years, the Panthers finished 29-29 overall, 15-21 in Skyline games and made the Skyline Conference Playoffs both times.
