Francesca Levine

Francesca Levine first arrived at Purchase College back in September 2012 as the Assistant Director of Athletics. Then nine months later in May 2013, she added head coaching duties of the women's lacrosse team to her slate of tasks.

During Levine's seven seasons as leader of the team, the Panthers have amassed a 39-37 overall record, made the Skyline Conference Playoffs three times and she was named the Skyline Coach of the Year for the 2016 season.

Other achievements Purchase women's lacrosse has earned during Levine's tenure include the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year in 2015 and 2016, 13 All-Skyline First Team player selections and four All-Skyline Second Team selections.

When Francesca isn't leading her team on the field, her duties as Assistant Athletic Director include the day-to-day management of the 17 athletic teams and assisting the Director of Athletics Chris Bisignano in the running of the department.

Prior to joining Purchase, she was the Assistant Athletic Director and head women's lacrosse coach at nearby Mercy College. In her previous roles, she was not only the Assistant AD, but also the Senior Women's Administrator (SWA). At Mercy, she assisted with compliance and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), while also overseeing academic monitoring and the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program. She served as a liaison for financial aid, admissions and academic advising.

Prior to her appointment at Mercy, Levine served the college as a Personalized Achievement Contract (PACT) Counselor. In that position, she was the primary advisor and mentor for numerous students, helping them with the transition to college.

A native of nearby Nyack, Levine was a four-year letter winner and three-year starter at Division I Marist College from 2002-05 as a women's lacrosse midfielder. She was a three-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic selection and two-time Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll member. During her college playing career, the Red Foxes made four MAAC Tournament appearances, earning a spot in the championship game in 2003.

A Dean's List student at Marist, Levine earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2005 and later her MBA from Mercy in 2011. She resides in Nyack with her husband Jordan, who is the associate athletic director and head men's lacrosse coach at Mercy College, and their three children.
