Mickey Brzov arrived at Purchase in May 2024.
Brzov brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in both coaching and playing tennis at competitive levels.
He currently works as the Director of Racquet Sports at Nyack Field Club in Nyack, NY, where he has been instrumental in managing and coaching multiple tennis teams, developing junior programs, and organizing successful tournaments and events since 2014.
His extensive coaching portfolio also includes serving as the Director of Tennis at Pound Ridge Tennis Club and as the Head Pro at Sound Shore Indoor Tennis.
Prior to his tenure at Nyack Field Club, Brzov was the head men's tennis coach at Fordham University from 2013-14, where he led the team to the Atlantic 10 Championship quarterfinals and helped player Matty Najfeld earn All-Atlantic 10 Second Team and All-Academic honors.
A graduate of Concordia College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Brzov was a standout player on the college's men's tennis team, playing at the number one and two singles positions. He ranked among the top ten singles players in the NCAA Division II Eastern section from 1996-1999.
He also holds a Master of Science in Banking and Finance from Mercy College, and a Sports Industry Essentials certificate from Columbia University.
Brzov's professional tennis experience includes competing in ITF Junior and Men's Pro Circuit tournaments, as well as participating in the APTA platform tennis tour.
He is a USPTA certified tennis professional and has actively contributed to community service initiatives, including organizing and coaching clinics for breast cancer awareness and volunteering at "Arthur Ashe Kids Day" at the U.S. Open.

Brzov now lives in Rye Brook, NY with his wife Aneta and their four children, Alex, Stefan, Theo, and Kate.
