Alexa Haines first arrived at Purchase College in November 2019.
Before joining the Panthers, she worked as a junior accountant with Nicholas Agnone & Co., LLC in Westbury, NY from September 2018 to November 2019. In that role, Haines prepared and filed tax returns for individuals and corporations, handled weekly payroll and budgets, managed financial books and generated reports.
Haines also has experience in an athletic department, as she worked at Mercy College as the Athletic Department Business Manager from August 2017 to May 2018. At Mercy, she maintained and tracked the department budget, processed payments and managed travel expenses for the teams.
Working at Mercy College in its athletics program was a homecoming for Haines, as she graduated from the institution twice, first with a bachelor's degree in public accounting and then a master's in the same field.
While attending the college, Haines was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse team, where she finished with 134 points (79 goals, 55 assists) and was named to the All-East Coast Conference Second Team as a senior.
Additionally, Haines interned with Noble Markets and Estee Lauder Companies as a student and participated in many leadership groups and activities during her college tenure.
In her role at Purchase, Haines will be charged with handling the day-to-day budget of the athletics department.
