Justin Lovell came to Purchase in March of 2019.
As Interim Sports Information Director, Lovell covers the college's 17 NCAA Division III programs, by writing press releases and featured stories, serving as the official statistician for multiple sports, managing the school's athletic website, running the social media pages for the athletics department, operating as gameday admin for multiple sports, overseeing 30+ student-workers and interns and making sure statistical and video equipment is working during games and events.
Prior to Purchase, Lovell served as Assistant Sports Information Director at Bard College for three years. While there, he covered the college's 19 varsity programs, by writing game stories and featured articles, served as the official statistician for multiple sports and helped maintain the school's athletic website.
Additionally, Lovell worked for the minor league baseball team, the Hudson Valley Renegades, in gameday operations and wrote for the fantasy sports site, Rotoballer. He was also a crew member, then shift leader and manager at Dunkin' for nearly 13 years, despite disliking coffee.
In 2022, Lovell earned his master's degree in Sports Management from SUNY Cortland. Years prior, he earned his bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from SUNY Oneonta.
