Head coach Patricia Troiano and the Purchase College women's tennis team are doing it again.
The perennial contenders are putting together another fantastic fall campaign. The Panthers' latest stop took them to the Sage Colleges Tuesday evening for a rescheduled matchup with the Gators. Purchase kept rolling in league play in an overwhelming 9-0 victory against Sage at Prospect Park.
In the process, Purchase is now 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the Skyline Conference. Sage falls to 4-8 overall with a 2-3 conference record.

Gabriella Marden (SOBayside, NY) posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Sage's Isabella Pericone at first singles. She teamed at first doubles with
Moriah Ormsby (SO/Montebello, NY) for a 9-7 win over Pericone and Danielle Sidoti.
Orsmby also won her singles affair, downing Sidoti 6-4, 10-8 (10-6). The always consistent
Melissa Siller (FR/Roslyn Heights, NY) – a rock in the middle of the singles lineup – took care of her singles match in no time, winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3. The newly named Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week,
Ashley Bernhardt (SO/Bethpage, NY), continued her hot play in a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4, while
Alyson Lopez (SR/Brooklyn, NY) and
Chelsea Quinn (SO/Southold, NY) wrapped the singles sweep in back-to-back victories at No. 5 and No.6, respectively.
Earlier in the match, Siller and Bernhardt teamed for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles. The dynamic duo of Lopez and Quinn capped the doubles in an 8-0 sweep of their own.
Originally, red-shot Purchase was set to face NYU-POLY Wednesday at home, but that match has been moved to Sunday. The Panthers will now return home for Friday's rescheduled showdown with MSMC. Friday will also be Senior Day. Festivities will be hosted prior to the match.
