Purchase, NY (Oct. 20, 2013) – Bouncing back from Saturday's road loss, the Purchase women's tennis team swept past Yeshiva University, 9-0, at home on Sunday. 
It marked the Panthers' final match before vying for the 2013 Skyline Conference title, which will begin with a semifinal round on Wednesday. 
Katherine Coleman (JR/Dewittville, NY) and Erika Fulton (FR/Wallingford, CT) led the team in first doubles with an 8-2 win, while Coleman triumphed at first singles with a 6-0, 6-4 win. 
Purchase went on to sweep at second and third doubles as well.
Singles competition followed a similar script, with the Panthers winning comfortably at all six flights.
Emma Yavel (FR/Brooklyn, NY) defeated Maccabee Galila Shapiro 61, 6-4 at second singles while Jasmine Rippey (SO/Deansboro, NY) won at third singles with a score of 6-1, 7-5. 
 
"I am so proud of my team," head coach Andreea Oncioiu commented after the match. "They have worked so hard this season and we are excited as we head into the postseason."
 
Purchase finished with a 4-1 conference record, good enough for second overall in the league standings. 
The Panthers will host the Sage Colleges while the top-seeded Rams of Farmingdale State battle No. 4 seed Mount Saint Mary College this Wednesday.  Winners of each match will advance to the championship on Saturday, Oct. 26.
