Danbury, CT (Sept. 27, 2013) – The Purchase College women's tennis team improved to 3-1 this fall with a 9-0 win over Western Connecticut State University on Friday afternoon.

Purchase swept every singles match without dropping a set, and last week's Skyline honor role mentiion, Angela Assal (FR/Bronx, NY), did not lose a game at the No. 1 spot.

Rookies Juliette Ferraro (SO/Northport, NY) and Emma Yavel (FR/Brooklyn, NY) dominated at the second and third singles, taking home a 6-1, 6-1 and a 6-3, 6-3 win.  

The doubles teams of Assal and Jasmine Rippey (SO/Deansboro, NY), and Yavel and Anna Palmer (SO/Nyack, NY) each won, 8-2.  

The Panthers' next match is Sunday at home against William Paterson.
