Ridgefield Park, NJ (Sept. 20, 2015) – Purchase College junior forward Riley Graham (Red Bluff, CA) scored six goals and added an assist as six different players found the back of the net in a 13-0 victory over Yeshiva University in Sunday afternoon's Skyline Conference women's soccer.
The win marked the first for the Panthers' 2015 season as the team advances to 1-5 overall and 1-0 in the league. Yeshiva slips to 0-4 on the season, 0-2 in conference play.
Purchase built an early four-goal lead in the opening 15 minutes of play on the strength of two scored by Graham and one apiece from senior Marykate McGee (Oceanside, NY) and junior Amanda Green (Roslyn Heights, NY).
Graham added a goal off a solo breakaway at 17:55, earning her first hat trick of the season. Senior Cristina de Jesus (Purchase, NY) struck in the 19th minute and McGee added another at the 39:13 mark to give Purchase a 7-0 lead at intermission.
McGee, sophomore midfielder Emily Saltman (Huntington, NY) and sophomore defender Nina Brennan (Staten Island, NY) each notched a goal in the second half while Graham went on to score three more, including a penalty shot in the 58thh minute.
Despite picking up the loss, Maccabee goalkeeper Natasha Bassalian registered eight saves on the afternoon.
Purchase is back in action Tuesday with a 7 p.m. home game against non-conference Bard College.
