(Sept. 25, 2015) – The Farmingdale State women's soccer team earned a 7-0 Skyline Conference victory over Purchase College Friday afternoon.
Farmingdale (3-4-1 overall, 1-0 SKY) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the game after junior midfielder Amanda Khare scored off a cross in front by Ashley Guerrero.
The Rams increased their advantage to 2-0 with 27:07 left on the clock on a breakaway shot to the left corner of the net by Guerrero. Less than two minutes later, sophomore forward Taylor Howard scored off the throw in by Andrea Kiefer to open up a 3-0 lead.
With 7:06 remaining in the first half, FSC senior forward Ashlee Thompson tallied her first goal of the game after being set up on the pass from Howard. The Rams held Purchase to only two first half shots as they took a 4-0 lead into the break.
Guerrero scored all three goals in the second half leading the Rams to a 7-0 victory.

Briana Leon (JR/Glen Cove, NY) made eight saves in 90 minutes of action and was tagged with the loss.
Purchase drops to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in league play after today's loss. The Panthers look for a comeback this Sunday as they travel to the College of Mount Saint Vincent for a Skyline game starting at 1 p.m.
