(Sept. 29, 2015) – Sage posted a 4-0 victory over the Panthers Tuesday night.
Sage's James Lagunas found the back of the net and put the Gators up 1-0 to open the scoring in the first half.
After outshooting the Panthers 9-2 in the first half, Sage pushed the lead to 2-0 eight minutes into the second on a score from Mu'Ammar Camara.
Purchase's best opportunity of the second half came in the 71st minute off an
Isaac Lee (FR/New York, NY) shot, but Sage keeper TJ Zehner recorded the save.
Even with sheets of rain for the entire second half, the Gators were able to add two insurance goals to close the scoring.
Zehner and the defense recorded their fourth straight shutout. The defensive crew has totaled seven shutouts on the season.
The Gators are now 6-2-2 on the fall, including 2-0-1 in the Skyline.
Purchase is now 2-8 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
