(Oct. 6, 2016) – Visiting Brooklyn posted a 3-1 final at Purchase Thursday night.
The Bulldogs were paced by Francesca LoCascio, who finished with 10 kills. Teammates Sarina Rozek and Christolia Butler added nine and seven, respectively. Brooklyn setter Monineath Pen handed out a match-high 21 assists. Sarina Rozek led the way with 10 digs.
Brooklyn posted set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 21-25, 25-9.
Purchase performed its best in the third set, rallying for a win.
The team was led by
Kaitlyn Pillig (SO/Mamaroneck, NY),
Maura Gribbins (SO/Buffalo, NY) and
Nicole Fortuna (SR/New Rochelle, NY). Pillig totaled a team-high nine kills, three aces and added six assists. Gribbins followed with four kills and a team-high 11 assists. Fortuna finished with two kills and seven digs. The team leader in that category was
Isis Gonzalez (FR/New York, NY), who netted a match-high 15 digs in a standout defensive performance.
