(Sept. 17, 2016) – Host Farmingdale State earned a 3-0 win in their Skyline Conference opener over Purchase Saturday.
The Rams improved to 2-4 (1-0 Skyline), while Purchase fell to 0-5-1 (0-1-1 Skyline) on the season.
In the 25th minute of the game, FSC forward Carlos Rivera-Ronquillo tipped one past the goaltender off of a feed from teammate Gerard Farrell to put Farmingdale State ahead, 1-0. Midfielder Wilson Martinez tallied an unassisted goal from 15 yards out with just 5:50 remaining in the half to give Farmingdale State a two-goal advantage.
With less than nine minutes remaining, forward Jovanni Parkinson scored from the top of the box to give Farmingdale State their third and final goal of the game.
