Farmingdale, NY (Oct. 10, 2017) – In the team's final Skyline match of the regular season, Purchase women's tennis fell to Farmingdale State, 5-4, Tuesday evening.

Purchase took a 2-1 lead after doubles play but struggled to keep the host Rams from rallying in singles action.

The Purchase doubles duo of Catherine Pasquale (SR/Valhalla, NY) and Abigail Cuddy (JR/Mount Kisco, NY) battled to an 8-4 victory at the No. 2 spot, but later lost the No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches, respectively.

The Panthers also picked up points at third doubles after Nadia Shadi (JR/New York, NY) and rookie Amelia Rothbell (FR/Plainedge, NY) defeated their opponents, 8-4.

Raquelle DeCicco (FR/Kingston, NY) and Rothbell netted the only two points in singles action for Purchase, with wins at the No. 4 and 6 spots, respectively.

The Panthers are back in action this Thursday as the team gets set to celebrate Senior Day with a non-conference match against Baruch College.
