(Oct. 5, 2017) – A fast start for Farmingdale State loomed large in a 6-1 Skyline Conference win over Purchase College Thursday night.
The Rams now stand at 6-4-2 overall and 4-0 in the league, while the Panthers drop to 4-6, 2-2.
Farmingdale jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the opening 45 minutes of action. Purchase midfielder
Berenice Rojas (FR/New York, NY) put the Panthers on the board with a goal at 48:04. Teammate
Brett Robison (SO/Franklin Square, NY) was awarded the assist.
After increasing the advantage to 5-1, the Rams scored on a header by sophomore midfielder Edasia Martinez off the cross from freshman forward Miranda Ozimek to give FSC a five-goal lead, 6-1.
Neither team scored over the final 25:23 of the game as Farmingdale State earned the 6-1 conference victory.

Amber Yarter (SO/Albany, NY) had an impressive night with 14 total saves.
The Panthers return to their home turf on Oct. 11 to host Skyline foe Mount Saint Vincent College.
