(Feb. 11, 2017) – The Purchase College women's basketball team opened weekend action with an 89-47 loss to the College of Mount Saint Vincent at the Peter Jay Sharp Center on Saturday.
The Mount controlled the game from the start, as the team built up a double-digit lead less than 10 minutes into action. The team shot 66 percent from the field and connected on 70 percent from the 3-point line in the opening 10 minutes, to lead 35-12 after one.
The Dolphins lead would grow to as much as 46 points late in the fourth quarter with the game well in hand.
All 15 dressed members of the host team recorded a stat, whether it point, rebound, assist, steal or block. 14 of the 15 dressed players scored a point.
Brittany Carroll led all scorers with 18 points, on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and 4-of-7 from 3-point land. Dez Brown chipped in with 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while Christina Barone had her third points/assists double-double of the season, as the senior went for 12 points and 10 assists.

Frances Minaya (San Fernando, CA) led the Panthers with 14 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three assists. Senior guard
April Uhl (Jackson Heights, NY) added another 10 points and collected four boards for the visitors.
Purchase, now 2-18 overall (1-14 Skyline), looks to make a comeback tomorrow as the Panthers get set to host Yeshiva University for an 11 a.m. tipoff.
