Farmingdale, NY
(April 8, 2017) – The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team improved to 10-0 overall, 3-0 in Skyline play with an 18-7 victory over Purchase College (1-6, 0-4) Saturday.
The Rams grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first six minutes on goals from attackers Mia Johnson, Megan Sullivan and midfielder Kristen Keller.
After a Purchase score made it 3-1, Farmingdale added three more and held an 8-3 advantage at the half.
In the second, the Rams scored seven straight to pull ahead 15-3 with 21 minutes left in regulation. FSC added three more en route to the conference win.
The Rams controlled the draws 17-7.
For the day, Keller finished with a team-high six points (4g, 2a).
For Purchase, midfielder
Emma Porter (JR/Homer, NY) posted a team-leading five goals and one assist.
Kelly Turtell (JR/Farmingdale, NY) and
Zoe Hines (JR/Maplewood, NJ) had the other goals for the Panthers.
