Danbury, CT (Sept. 22, 2017) – The Purchase College women's tennis team traveled to Western Connecticut State for a non-conference match against the host Colonials on Friday and fell, 7-2.  The Panthers dropped to 2-2 overall, while the Colonials improved to 5-2.

Purchase recorded points at second doubles and third singles.  Freshmen Amelia Rothbell (Plainedge, NY) and Raquelle DeCicco (Kingston, NY) defeated West Conn's Sarah Warkoski and Carolina Albano, 8-6, in doubles action, and DeCicco went on to tally another point for Purchase with a 6-1, 6-2 victory in singles play.

The team looks to bounce back on Wednesday as it gets set to host St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) for a Skyline Conference matchup starting at 3:30 p.m.
