Patchogue, NY 
(Oct. 16, 2018) – Purchase College dropped a close 1-0 decision to Skyline Conference host St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Tuesday night.
The Golden Eagles move to 6-6 on the season with a 4-2 conference mark. In defeat, the Panthers drop to 2-9 overall and 1-5 in the league.
St. Joe's freshman Gianna Castilletti netted the game-winner in the 15th minute. Junior Karissa Rutigliano sent in a corner kick from the far side where sophomore Carly Credidio's initial shot was blocked. Castilletti was there to put back the rebound for the game's lone goal.
The two sides played a tight second half with the Golden Eagles edging PC in shots, 6-5.  SJC netminder Juliana Cintron-Leonardo came up with four saves to preserve the win and pick up her fourth shutout of the season.

Purchase takes to the road again on Oct. 20 for a noon Skyline contest hosted by Maritime College.
