(Oct. 21, 2018) – It was a grand finish to Purchase's final road game of the regular season on Saturday, as senior
Jessica Warren scored the game-winning goal with less than a second remaining in regulation, leading the Panther women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Maritime College.
A clear by senior co-captain
Tori La Fata (East Meadow, NY) with just over 13 seconds left on the clock got the ball rolling for PC. Sophomore midfielder
Gabby Castles (Bethpage, NY) collected the loose ball at midfield and exploded down the field to the offensive end line. With two seconds remaining, Castles sent a pass to the top of the six-yard box where

Warren did not start the game but her impact off the bench was evident. The goal was Warren's second shot on net after entering the game to start the second half. She stands at two total goals this season.
On the defensive end, junior netminder
Amber Yarter (Albany, NY) tallied two saves in the Purchase win.
Despite being tagged with the loss, Havens had a memorable day being honored along with teammate Hannah Leese in a pre-game Senior Day ceremony.
The Panthers are back at home this Wednesday to celebrate their own Senior Game under the lights against the SUNY College at Old Westbury. The Skyline game– also the final game of the regular season– is set to start at 6 p.m.
