New York, NY (Oct. 25, 2018) – The Purchase women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference road match to the Bearcats of Baruch College Thursday night. The hosts hit .341 as a team to record a 25-14, 25-11, 25-9 win in the ARC Arena.

Gonzalez (Brooklyn, NY) led the Panther offense with six kills while also collecting six digs and one service ace. Freshman
Karina Medina (Brooklyn, NY) recorded eight assists and freshman
Skyla Schoppmeyer (Oakdale, NY) had a team-best two aces. Schoppmeyer also paced the defense with 14 digs.
The Bearcats started strong and hit a torrid .414 in the second set to stretch their winning streak to three matches. The trio of Stella Chung , Abigail Nolasco (career-high), and Anita Sengara had eight kills in the win. Sanaa Hadjeb dished out 23 assists and Wai Chang had eight
Prior to the match, Baruch honored Shannon Barrett, Mina Pantovic and Yeaslie Velasco for their dedication and hard work to the women's volleyball team, as they played this evening in their final regular season home match.
Purchase returns to its home court on Saturday to host the SUNY College at Old Westbury and the United States Merchant Marine Academy in a Skyline Conference tri-match. The opener, PC verse Old Westbury in a "Battle of the Panthers" match, is slated for 11 a.m.
