(Dec. 6, 2018) – Purchase College men's basketball picked up its first Skyline Conference loss Thursday night, falling to the visiting Maccabees of Yeshiva University, 95-71.
Ryan Turell led all scorers with 26 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Gabriel Leifer added 16 points, 14 boards and nine assists, while Simcha netted his 1000th career point with a 15-point performance to lead Yeshiva (4-5, 4-2 SKY) in the victory.
A 29-12 run in the opening half turned a six-point lead into a 51-28 Yeshiva advantage at halftime.
The Maccabees shot 53.1 percent, including an impressive 93.3 percent (14-of-15) from the free throw line in the opening stanza and continued in the closing 20 minutes with 52.6 percent from the field.

Michael Soffer (Agoura Hills, CA) recorded a team-best 18 points, two steals and two assists. Junior guard
Maxx Miller (White Plains, NY) contributed 13 points and five rebounds, while senior center
Mike Felix (Goshen, NY) finished with 12 points.

Jorge Perdomo (Bronx, NY) came off the bench to net 11 points while also pulling down five rebounds.
