Bronx, NY
(Feb. 6, 2018) – The Purchase College women's basketball team dropped a Skyline game to the College of Mount Saint Vincent, 74-33, on Monday.
CMSV (10-9, 8-7 SKY) led the entire game. Allowing just six points in the first quarter was a sign of things to come, as the Dolphins played stout defense all game long.
They were equally as impressive on the other end. Junior Kelly Oliver had a tremendous performance, as she led all her teammates with 26 points while converting seven three point attempts. She also contributed eight rebounds. She wasn't the only one, as senior Kristen Merrell filled up her stat sheet with 12 points, 10 rebounds and six assists while freshman Arian Rheams shot made half of her field goal attempts (nine points) and pulled down 11 boards.
Purchase (8-10, 5-12 SK) shot just 19% from the floor - including 12.5% from three - over the 40 minutes of play.
Junior guard and Skyline Player of the Week
Amber Jones (Bronx, NY) netted 12 points for Purchase.
The Panthers will return to action on February 8 when they travel to the City College of New York.
