Bronx, NY
(April 7, 2018) –
James Felix made sure his four goals stood tall Saturday at the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
The Panther standout scored a game-high four goals in Purchase's 9-4 victory, including the first goal of the game, and the last two. Felix (JR/Scarsdale, NY) now leads the team with 23 goals on the spring. He has scored four in back-to-back games.
Brady Fahy (JR/Rochester, NY),
Kenny Martin (FR/North Salem, NY),
Ben Erkan (FR/Belport, NY),
Shane Sanders (FR/Merrick, NY) and
Calvin Amaro (FR/Bronx, NY) also had goals in the win.
CMSV now stands at 0-4 in Skyline Conference play. The Panthers are now 3-6 overall, including 1-2 in league.
Over the first 30 minutes of play, the Dolphins struggled to get much of anything going on offense. While they did get 22 shots, Purchase goalie
Matt Sayegh (SO/Hopewell Junction, NY) turned away each one. On the other side of the field, Purchase scored seven first-half goals, putting the Dolphins in a large hole at halftime.
While the comeback attempt was decent in the third for the hosts, Purchase scored two more times in the fourth to put the team up for good, as Felix has another huge day offensively.
