Purchase, NY
(April 8, 2018) – Panther softball finally got on the field at Purchase Sunday, seeing their first action at home in 2018.
But it was a cold afternoon nonetheless.

SLC collected 14 hits in game one. The team was led Riley Vuyovich and her three hits from the top of the order. Baylie Petit also finished the day with two hits, two runs and three RBI.
The visitors scored two runs in the fifth, three in the sixth and two more in the seventh to rally from behind in the opener.
Purchase scored three in the third and three in the fifth. The Panthers totaled 12 hits, including multi-hit games for
Lisa Kentris (JR/Latham, NY),
Antonina Fiore (SR/Mount Sinai, NY),
Shawna Smith (FR/Kingston, NY) and
Gabriella Carnevale (FR/Carteret, NJ).
Kelly Hayes (JR/Staten Island, NY) also added two RBI from the top spot in the lineup. Hayes,
Victoria Capone-Froio (SR/Yonkers, NY) and Carnevale all doubled in game one.
Delaney Parker was the story in game two. She went the distance in the circle for the victory. She struck out two and allowed four hits, outdueling
Kylia Maddox-Langley (JR/Mount Vernon, NY).
Purchase was bitten by five errors in game two. Karissa McAuley, Kamaron McNair and Mackenzie Mindish collected two hits each, totaling six of the eight from the four-six spots in the order. The trio also had one RBI each in the victory.
