(Sept. 19, 2018) – The Purchase women's soccer team traveled to Bard College Wednesday evening and dropped a 6-0 non-conference decision to the host Raptors.
Bard (4-2-1) had its foot on the gas pedal from the first ti final whistle. .
Dylan McDonald got things started in the sixth minute with a great individual effort. The junior forward dribbled the ball into the box from the left side and unleashed a shot past Panther netminder
Amber Yarter (JR/Albany, NY) toward the top left corner. Bard took a 1-0 lead.
The host Raptors would knock in another three goals before the end of the first half and added another two in the final 45 minutes.
On the night, Bard held a 27-4 shooting advantage over Purchase. Yarter collected 10 saves for Purchase in the effort.
Raptor goalie Abigail Stanley finished with the win and three saves in her 45 minutes of action. Tessa Greenhalgh completed the win with a save during the second frame.
The Panthers look to bounce back this Saturday as the team heads to St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) for the start of Skyline Conference action. Kickoff slated for 6 p.m.
