(Sept. 29, 2018) – The Purchase women's tennis team picked up their fourth straight win on Saturday.
The Panthers swept all three doubles matches to open the afternoon. Leading 3-0, Purchase kept the momentum as the team headed into singles action.
At the top flight, freshman
Bianca Harris (Montgomery, NY) downed Alexis Nanavaty 6-2, 6-0, while No. 2 seeder
Grace Bradshaw rolled past her SLC opponent 8-2.
At third singles, sophomore
Raquelle DeCicco (Kingston, NY) recorded an 8-2 victory over Sarah Ashdown. Senior
Abigail Cuddy (Mount Kisco, NY) netted a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at the No. 4 spot and senior
Nadia Shadi (New York, NY) picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at fifth singles.
Rounding out the Panther scoring was freshman
Angela Fiedler (Middletown, NY). The Purchase rookie defeated Jillian Price 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
Purchase is right back at it tomorrow with a road match against Baruch College. The rescheduled non-conference match is slated for 1:30 p.m. at Alley Pond Tennis Center.
