(Jan. 21, 2019) – The Purchase College women's basketball picked up their second straight win on Monday with a 75-66 victory over the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
With the win, the Panthers move to 9-7 overall and 7-4 in the Skyline Conference, while the host Dolphins drop to 4-12 overall and 3-8 in the league.
The contest started with back-and-forth basketball, with the Panthers taking a four point lead after the first 10 minutes of play.

Dejeana Peoples (SO/New York, NY) layup kick-started a 7-0 run to open the second quarter. Purchase held CMSV to just a single point in the stanza, taking a comfortable 29-14 lead at the break.
Led by 10 points from senior guard
Amber Jones (Bronx, NY), the Panthers put up another 22 points in the third quarter.
Trailing 68-37, CMSV ignited in the fourth quarter. The Dolphins outscored the Panthers 29-7 in the final stanza, shrinking the Purchase lead to single digits in the final seconds of regulation.
Jones fueled the Purchase victory with 20 points, while
Alfa DeJesus (JR/Bronx, NY) earned her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 boards. DeJesus also tallied a game-high six steals.
Nyasia Harris (SR/South Fallsburg, NY) chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Purchase returns to its home court on Thursday to play host to Mount Saint Mary College. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
