FARMINGDALE, NY - The Purchase College women's tennis team was defeated in a Skyline Conference match Friday afternoon, falling to the Rams of Farmingdale State College, 9-0.
With the loss, the Panthers dropped 2-8 overall and 2-4 in the Skyline. Meanwhile, the Rams wrapped up their season with records of 14-1 and 7-0 respectively.
It was a tough outing for Purchase, as the guests were shutout in six of the nine matches.
Bianca Harris (SO/Montgomery, NY) and
Raquelle DeCicco (JR/Kingston, NY) did their best to led the Panthers, playing the #1 doubles match to an eventual 8-4 loss.
In singles play, the duo again played competitively, before ultimately falling. Harris was defeated 6-3, 6-2 at the #1 singles spot, while DeCicco lost by the score of 6-2, 6-1 at #2.
Up next for the Panthers is the final Skyline Conference match of the 2019 season, as the team hosts Mount Saint Mary College tomorrow (10/19) at 11 a.m.Â
