PURCHASE, NY – Senior guard
Arta Krasniqi went 7-for-8 from beyond the arc to lead the Purchase College women's basketball team to a 71-57 Skyline Conference victory over Sarah Lawrence College Tuesday evening.
With the win, the Panthers move to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in the Skyline. The visiting Gryphons remain winless at 0-8 overall and 0-3 in the league.
Purchase broke the scoring ice with a 9-0 run to open the game. The Panthers held the advantage throughout the remainder of the game, stretching it to as many as 14 points (62-48) on an
Alfa DeJesus (SR/Bronx, NY) 3-pointer in the fourth quarter.
Krasniqi (Bronx, NY) poured in a season-best 28 points to pave the road to victory for PC. The standout senior also collected five rebounds and a game-high seven blocks. Sophomore guard
Shadai Plowden (Yonkers, NY) collected her first double-double performance of the season with 14 points and 10 boards, to go along with six assists and four steals.

Amber Rodriguez (Queens, NY) aided the winning effort with a combined 17 points, while freshman forward
Jazzmyne Hernandez (Bronx, NY) chipped in with six points and a notable eight rebounds.
Sarah Lawrence saw three of its players reach double-digit scoring. Demitra Loukopoulos recorded a team-best 18 points and nine boards. Ana Srdanovic and Camryn Davis finished with 14 points apiece, while Jordyn Medina led the defensive effort with a game-high 15 rebounds.
Purchase looks to continue its hot streak when the Panthers take to the road this Thursday at SUNY Delhi. The non-conference game is slated for 6 p.m.
