PURCHASE, NY – Purchase women's volleyball dropped a Skyline Conference match to Mount Saint Mary College, 3-0, at home Wednesday evening. Set scores were 25-8, 25-12, and 25-21.
In defeat, Purchase drops to 3-2 overall and an even 1-1 in the league.
The Panthers combined for 10 kills, 10 assists and three aces and 39 digs. Team co-captains
Isis Gonzalez (SR/Brooklyn, NY) and
Joetta Francis (SR/New York, NY) finished with one block each, while sophomore libero
Skyla Schoppmeyer (Oakdale, NY) paced the Panther defense with 11 digs.
For the visiting Knights (4-6, 1-0 SKY), junior outside hitter Danielle Kralik accounted for nine of the team's 27 kills. Morgan Burke and Grace Riddle tallied five apiece, while rookie setter Fran Cammarata recorded a match-best 19 assists.
Purchase returns to its home court this Saturday for a non-conference match against the City College of New York starting at 10 a.m.
