PURCHASE, N.Y. — 13-time Skyline Conference Champions Farmingdale State shut out host Purchase College, 10-0, under the lights on Wednesday.
The Panthers (5-6, 2-5 Skyline) held the Rams (6-8-1, 6-0 Skyline) in check until a Courtney Nelson unassisted goal opened up a 6-0 first-half run for the visitors. Eggers found the back of the net again in the second half. Rivera tallied the assist.
Nelson, Rivera and Mackensie Sala notched the final three goals in the 54th, 57th and 66th minutes, respectively.
The Panthers were outshot 35-5, including a 23-4 shots on net differential.
Purchase returns to action at home on Saturday (Oct. 15) for a 12 p.m. Skyline matchup against neighboring foe Manhattanville College.
