QUEENS, N.Y. – Purchase College suffered an 8-1 non-conference setback against Baruch College Sunday afternoon on the indoor courts at Queens College. 

The lone win for Purchase (3-3) came at sixth singles. Kali Secrest battled to a 4-6, 6-0 (10-6) victory over Bearcat opponent Stephanie Tapia.
 
Baruch (4-1) won all three doubles and the remaining five singles matches for the home victory.

Purchase will continue its non-conference slate on Oct. 7 against CUNY John Jay. Start time is set for 4 p.m.
