DANBURY, Conn. - The Purchase College women's volleyball team lost to WestConn Thursday night, dropping the non-conference matchup in straight sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-3, 25-9 and 25-6.
With the loss, the Panthers are now 2-12 overall. As for WestConn, the hosts moved to 9-7.
Purchase struggled to hit the ball all game long, finishing with just one kill to 16 errors. For the hosts, they tallied 26 kills to nine errors, and hit .298.
Individually,
Karina Medina (SR/Brooklyn, NY) recorded team-high marks in digs (9), aces (1) and assists (1).
Samantha Fasce (SR/Yorktown Heights, NY) tallied one kill, while
Taylor Marsico (SR/Rye Brook, NY) collected two digs in the defeat.
Up next for Purchase is a road matchup at Manhattanville College, as the squad resumes Skyline Conference action.
