PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's tennis team suffered defeat at Western Connecticut State University Wednesday afternoon, falling by the score of 7-2.
With the loss, the Panthers are now 2-6 overall. Meanwhile, the Wolves are now 3-7.
Julian Szuper (SR/New York, NY) was part of both victories on the day, as he and
Ben Joory (JR/Port Washington, NY) cruised to an 8-2 triumph at No. 1 doubles.
Once the contest moved to singles action, Szuper picked up right where he left off, easily topping his opponent in the No. 1 spot by the score of 6-2, 6-0.
Elsewhere, Joory and
Simon Montalvo (SR/Valencia, Spain) each won five games in a set during their singles matchups before ultimately falling.Â
Up next for the Panthers is more non-conference road action, as the team takes on Ramapo College on April 22nd. That match is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
