PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's volleyball team was bested by Ramapo College Thursday night, dropping the Skyline Conference matchup in straight sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-13, 25-9 and 25-17.
With the defeat, the Panthers are now 4-16 overall and 2-7 in the conference. For the Roadrunners, they jumped to 13-7 and 7-1, respectively.
The Blue and Orange finished with 19 kills on .055 hitting in the effort, as
Chris Posillico (SR/Saltaire, NY) paced the squad with seven kills and six digs.
Luca Spadinger (FR/Loudonville, NY) added six kills and six digs, while
Marcus Garguilo (SO/Port Washington, NY) collected eight points (four kills, two aces, a solo block and two block assists).
Idris Idris (SR/Bronx, NY) tallied 15 assists and six digs in the loss.
For the guests, they finished with 45 kills on .330 hitting, and took early leads in all three sets to secure the victory.
Up next for the Panthers is the final tri-match of the season, as they face Yeshiva University and rematch with the Roadrunners on their home court on March 26.
