PURCHASE, N.Y. – Purchase College men's lacrosse fell to the visiting bulldogs of Dean College, 10-1, in non-conference action Tuesday night at home. 
 
With the win, Dean remains undefeated at 3-0 overall. The host Panthers drop below .500 (1-2) in the early season. 
 
The bulldogs broke the scoring ice less than two minutes into the first quarter. Sophomore mid-fielder Jason Richard collected a pass from Alec Speirs at 13:55, netting his fourth goal of the season and first in the game. Dean tallied another two goals to close the period with a 3-0 lead.
 
The visiting offense struck again early in the second quarter, following a goal from Matthew Pacheco.
 
The Panthers snapped its scoreless run less than two minutes later thanks to the unassisted tally from freshman Shakim Carr (Brooklyn, NY). The lone goal pushed the rookie midfielder's season-total to four goals, as he leads the Panther lineup. 
 
Speirs goal at 2:46 capped the scoring for the quarter as Dean lead 5-1 at half-time.
 
The visitors netted another five unanswered goals over the finally 30 minutes to close the game out in front, 10-1.
 
Despite the loss, Purchase goalie Will Boes (SO/Pleasantville, NY) collected 12 saves (.545) in the complete-game performance.
 
Both teams were evenly matched throughout the game, with Dean holding a slight advantage in shots (38-30), groundballs (19-16), and clears (14-12). Purchase had the upper hand in caused turnovers (8-6).
