BRONX, N.Y. – Purchase softball carved up a doubleheader sweep of Yeshiva University, 14-0 and 19-0, in Skyline Conference action late Sunday night at Bahoshy Field.
Senior ace
Tara Sasso (North Rockland, NY) pitched her career-first pair of no-hitters to lead the Panthers. She recorded a two-game total of 16 strikeouts, including 10 in the opener, and five walks. Sasso fanned the final two Maccabees in the fifth to close out game one and stayed hot for the shortened nightcap, recording another six strikeouts for the win.

Brianna Palermo (SR/Hyde Park, NY) paced the lineup, batting an impressive .875 (7-for-8), including two triples and one double with three RBI and five runs scored.
Alexandria Perez (SR/Bronx, NY) and
Rebecca Bronzi (SO/Lagrangeville, NY) were next in line, both finishing the day with a notable 5-for-7 (.714) performance and combining for 11 RBI.
Malena Santia (FR/Rye, NY) notched a team-best four doubles, averaging .625 with five hits on eight trips to the plate.
