Game One: RPI 12, Purchase 4
After the hosts opened the game with a pair of runs in the first,

The score remained 2-1 until the top of the sixth, when the guests knotted three runs to briefly take the lead.

During the next at-bat,
Frank Rega (FR/West Islip, NY) smacked an RBI-double to extend the Blue and Orange advantage to 4-2.
However, the hosts responded with a vengeance in the seventh inning, initially scoring a run via a Panthers' error, before crushing a grand slam later in the frame to blow the game open.
RPI then added five more runs in the eighth, pushing the margin to 12-4, where the contest finished one inning later.
Freshman

He went 6 1/3 innings, struck out six and allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits.
Game Two: RPI 6, Purchase 2 (7 inn)
Following the comeback win, the Engineers picked up right where they left off in game two, scoring five runs in second inning to take a commanding lead early.

The final score of the contest came from the bat of Salerno, as his RBI-single in the fifth scored Daly and trimmed the margin to 6-2, where it eventually ended.
At the plate, Salerno finished with a team-high three hits, two RBIs and one walk. Daly and
