PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's soccer team continued to roll Saturday afternoon, as the Panthers blew past Maritime College, 4-0.
With the victory, the Blue and Orange moved to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the Skyline Conference. The Privateers dropped to 3-4-2 and 0-3-1, respectively.
It was another dominating performance for the hosts, as they scored twice in the first half before adding a pair of goals in the second.
Oliver Broun (FR/Athens, GA)Â was the man of the match, after scoring the first two goals of the day.
The first came in the 11th minute when he chipped the keeper from 15 yards out. Just four minutes later, he scored again off a cross from
Ermin Mackic (FR/Yonkers, NY).
Following the halftime break,
Liam George (JR/Brooklyn, NY) and
Jair Cano (FR/White Plains, NY) found the back of the net to double the Panthers' margin, as they cruised to the win.
In goal,
Jack Gjokaj (JR/Thornwood, NY) finished with seven saves and the clean sheet.Â
