PATCHOGUE, N.Y.- The Purchase College women's basketball fell short at St. Joseph's University-Long Island, by the score of 77-37.

With the result, the Panthers currently sit at 1-17 overall and 1-14 in the Skyline Conference, while the Golden Eagles now boast records of 14-7 and 11-5, respectively.

The first quarter saw St. Joseph's open with an 8-0 run, before the visiting team narrowed the margin to just three points, 10-7 with 5:38 remaining. 

However, the hosts remained in control and surged ahead, eventually establishing a commanding 26-point lead at halftime, 46-20.

Despite their efforts, the Panthers were unable to find the momentum to narrow the gap in the second half, ultimately falling, 77-37. 

Noteworthy performances for the Blue and Orange included: Carlye Graff (JR/Nyack, NY) with seven points and five rebounds, and Kaylena Phagnasay (FY/Fresno, CA) with seven points and four rebounds. 

Aysiah Clinton (FY/Portland, OR) and Halle Greaige (FY) each added six points to the Panthers' effort.

Looking ahead, Purchase hits the road for their next challenge at the University of Mount Saint Vincent on February 3rd at noon.
