BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Purchase College women's basketball team was defeated Saturday afternoon, dropping a Skyline Conference matchup at St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn by the score of 93-44.
With the result, the Panthers moved to 2-20 overall and 2-17 in conference action. For the Bears, they jumped to 4-18 and 3-14, respectively.
Individually,
Carlye Graff (JR/Nyack, NY) led the effort with a team-high 16 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Kaylena Phagnasay (FY/Fresno, CA) tallied 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while
Kendall Larsen (FY/Staten Island, NY) chipped in six points and 10 rebounds.
Overall, the Blue and Orange shot 32.0% from the field and 42.9% from long range. Meanwhile, the hosts finished with percentages of 40.7% and 34.4%, respectively.
For the game, St. Joseph's raced out to an early advantage and never faltered. After 10 minutes, the score was 23-10, before ballooning to 53-15 by halftime.
Up next for Purchase is a return to its home court, as the squad welcomes Pratt Institute for a non-conference matchup. The game is scheduled for February 13th at 7:00 p.m.
