NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Purchase College men's volleyball was defeated at Baruch College Tuesday night, dropping the non-conference contest in straight sets.
Scores for the match were 25-9, 25-12 and 25-14. With the result, the Panthers dropped to 3-4 overall and the Bearcats moved to 3-6.
From the get-go, the guests struggled with hitting the ball, as they failed to find their groove throughout. On the night, Purchase finished with nine kills on a negative hitting percentage.
As for the hosts, they recorded 31 kills on .489 hitting.
Individually,
Tyler Ryan (JR/Port Reading, NJ) totaled a team-high four points on three kills and one ace, while
Channing Williams (FY/Neptune, NJ) tallied 3.5 points (three kills, one block assist).
Up next for the Panthers is a return to their home court as they welcome The City College of New York on February 23rd at 7 p.m.
