MAHWAH, N.J. - The Purchase College men's volleyball team was defeated Monday night, falling to Ramapo College in straight sets.
Scores for the contest were 25-18, 25-12 and 25-18.
With the loss, the Panthers are now 9-7 overall and 4-1 in the Skyline Conference. For the Roadrunners, they moved to 10-5 and 7-1, respectively.
For the game, the hosts proved to be a major offensive power, as they finished with 45 kills on .425 hitting.
For the Blue and Orange, it was an off-night as the squad tallied just 20 kills on a .099 hitting percentage.
As for the action of the sets, the battle between the two sides was often close throughout until a late run from Ramapo tipped each frame its way.
Individually,
Channing Williams (FY/Neptune, NY) finished with nine kills and three digs, while
Tyler Ryan (JR/Port Reading, NJ) added five kills and five digs.
Up next for the Panthers is a road matchup with Yeshiva University on Match 13th at 7:30 p.m.
